PumpPod USA was founded by Walt Dorn, a retired third-generation private sector first responder with a lifelong commitment to improving firefighter training and safety. Drawing on decades of experience, Walt recognized the urgent need for a more sustainable way for departments to conduct full-flow water evolutions without wasting millions of gallons of fresh water. His vision led to the creation of the Pump Pod™ DRAFTS Unit—a mobile, self-contained system that captures, recirculates, and conserves water during pump testing and training. What began as a practical tool for drafting and pumping exercises has since evolved into the industry’s most advanced and environmentally responsible training system for engineers, candidates, and firefighters alike.
